About the Fun Run

The people of Cherbourg welcome the people of Murgon, the South Burnett and beyond to run (or walk) 7 or 3kms in the name of friendship, in the name of hope and in the name of new possibilities.

The Cherbourg Ration Shed Museum's Reconciliation Fun Run continues to attract higher numbers of participants each year and has earned plenty of praise from event sponsors and community leaders.

The 2019 Cherbourg Ration Shed Reconciliation Fun Run will run it's 6th consecutive year, with both the 7k & 3k distances at affordable entry fees and electronic timing. There will be prizes and medals for winners and place getters and heaps of random draw prizes. Join in the celebration at the post race festival where there will be entertainment, market stalls and food outlets.

The Ration Shed Museum was established to educate visitors on what life was like for aboriginal people living under the Aboriginal Protection Act and to share the many wonderful aspects of traditional Aboriginal culture and contemporary Cherbourg life.

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which the Ration Shed Museum Reconciliation Fun Run is held, we and the Wakka Wakka people pay our respect to Elders past, present and future.
